Description : As the HIV/AIDS pandemic continues to ravage many regions of the world, lessons learned from a variety of global and local responses have shown that neither prevention alone nor treatment alone can limit the spread of the disease. Prevention and care must be seen as critical arms of the continuum of care.
The objectives of this session are to define the magnitude of the HIV/AIDS problem globally and regionally, define the concept of HIV/AIDS prevention to care continuum, to review some of the existing best practices for HIV/AIDS prevention as well as the best practices for HIV/AIDS care and support.
